The new album ‘Sunset Suburbia’ is out TODAY! After more than 30 years in the top tier of Australian rock, Diesel has delivered an album that melds all the varied sides of his musical personality – and reveals a few new ones.
It’s an album of ten new songs and a display of the diversity of his musicianship working in harmony with his singing, songwriting and self-taught production skills.
Diesel says – Hi everyone, the time has come to release what I’m told is album #16 ( I admittedly lost track). Sunset Suburbia, if you haven’t been aware of the 2 EP’s by the same title that came before, is the ultimate destination for this project. I hope you enjoy what we’ve put down here.. a lot of work goes into what eventually flows from speakers of all sizes, a process rewarded by the idea of you the listener getting onboard.
I’d probably make records regardless due to my obsession but it would ring hollow without an audience. Thanks to all who have encouraged the process along the way with the EP’s leading up to this. Also thanks go to Lee Moloney(drums) and James Freeman (engineer) who were present from the minute I informed them that there was no masterplan/demos for this album and we were going to just “roll tape”.In these challenging times, I’d like to send love and strength to our health care workers, with several nurses in my family and our Mum having nursed for over 30 years I can’t help think if this was a different time she would have been on the front line.
